Gargoyle box

Here is a little 'gargoyle' box that Curly Girl made in art.
She is so proud of it. A girl in her regular classroom picked it up without asking and broke the lid first thing.

She was very sad at first but we fixed it with a little glue and it looks just fine.......

I thought the gargoyle looked like a little bear (and the wings ARE white) so we are using it as a "Give It To God" prayer box.....an appropriate use for something so precious.

kitty in a stocking

This is Curly Girl's second attempt at painting. She picked this thinking it wouldn't be too difficult because it was mainly a head and leg.
It turned out to be a BEAR. The two tone face, the angle of the leg and all the shading on the sock

*WHEW*

But, she DID IT! Her teacher pulled me aside and let me know this was a very hard painting to do.....all slightly within ear shot of Curly Girl....sort a made her day!

Kachina Doll

Curly Girl's class was studying Kachina Dolls and part of the project was to create one that represented themselves.

Here is her's

The palette and paints represent her love of artwork
The halo represents her loving and caring about others
The panda outfit represents....nothing....she just liked the fabric. HA!

There once was a kitty

First Curly Girl drew a kitty. Then she decided the kitty needed to be a momma so she gave it a kitten. Then she decided the kitten needed a sister.....Then she decided that no kitty has only 1 or 2 kittens so she added 2 more.........

Ivy

Go ahead and say it.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

She's wirey.......

Curly Girl's latest for her art class in school......she has to create something from wire.

I asked her why she gave the artist brown curly hair instead of blond. She said 'it is not ME mom....'
Well....in my defense, I thought it would be! lol!
I love that the little flower painting on the easel is not complete.....

Panda!

Curly Girl's first painting! Didn't she do a GREAT JOB!?

I think she did!
