Here is a sketch Curly Girl did of a Hummingbird for IMT. She wanted to do it earlier in the week to get it submitted sooner.
I tried to convince her to color it in but she said "that would take away from the detail MOM...." How is THAT for a 10 year old's logic?

Lovely hummingbird! I'm with Curly girl on this. Her sketch does have details that would be hard to color. She's the artist so she gets to decide.

Great job on the bird. Perhaps a bit more practice with color and she'd change her mind about lack of detail.
I'm a graphite artist myself but am leaning towards more color as of late, and am enjoying it even more!
I think that color over the graphite would have ruined the drawing ~ so I am going to agree with curly girl too :D
